Our Consciousness Created The Life We Are Living – So Are We Gods? - Dick Rauscher

Our thoughts and emotions are far more powerful than most of us realize. They create our happiness, our unhappiness, and they are totally responsible for the life we are currently living. In fact, they not only shape our own lives but they also impact the ongoing evolution of our universe.

You probably think I’m overstating it a bit. I’m not. Let’s continue.

It’s important to understand that our thoughts and emotions create virtually all of the energy we send into the universe and into the relationships we have with those around us. But what’s even more important is recognizing that we create our thoughts and emotions; they don’t just happen. If we can learn to become more self-aware, we can develop the skills necessary to have total control over them. Self-awareness is the key to creating whatever life we want to live. It is the key to happiness.

Given that so many of us go through life unaware that what we think about is a choice, it’s no wonder we are creating so much conflict and unhappiness for ourselves. Let’s take a brief look at the power of thought.

First, we need to understand that the creation of all forms is first preceded by consciousness. For example, the Consciousness we call Creator created the state we call our universe.

A form may be a thing, but it can also be an emotion, an attitude, a behavior, an expectation, or even our words.

Most of us have no trouble accepting the idea that the consciousness of the Creator created our universe. We rarely move to the next logical step and think about the more profound implications of our own consciousness and our ability to create form.

Let’s go back to the beginning of the human story.

Over the last 14.7 billion years, the universe has slowly evolved from the singularity of the Big Bang. Pure energy evolved into hydrogen gas. Over time that hydrogen gas evolved into matter, stars, galaxies, life, and eventually consciousness.

About 35,000 years ago, the consciousness of the human species evolved from animal consciousness into what we call self-aware, reflexive consciousness. In that moment of evolutionary emergence, we became a species conscious of our own consciousness: A living species with the ability to contemplate the universe and the meaning of life itself.

At that moment, the evolution of the human species shifted from a glacially slow biological process into the evolution of consciousness itself. If we could consciously imagine it in our minds, we could become it; we could create it.

Because all form is first preceded by consciousness, it meant that humanity had become a conscious co-Creator with the conscious Creator of the universe. Like the Creator, we, too, now could use our newly evolved consciousness to create form. The ability to create language, writing, music, science, mathematics, and all of the forms we call human civilization.

In just 35,000 years, we have learned to create life in a laboratory, and we will soon have the ability to alter our DNA and prevent disease. Our journey to the stars is just a matter of time. Immortality could be within our grasp within a few generations.

We are a species with “free will,” learning to take moral responsibility for the forms we create called pain, suffering, compassion, love, hate, healing, forgiveness, peace, empathy, mutuality, and friendship. The forms we are currently contributing to the ongoing evolution of the Universe.

We are beginning to recognize that we are responsible for the evolution of our human consciousness and the emotional energy our collective unconscious primitive egos are sending into the world—the negative forms of unhappiness, judgment, conflict, and violence.

What we think about matters. What we think about is in our control. We can no longer claim to be at the mercy of our thoughts and emotions.

We are fully self-conscious Co-Creative beings. We, not fate, are responsible for the life we have created for ourselves.

We are no longer merely observers of the evolutionary process; we “are” the evolutionary process. We can choose the life we want to live and the direction we want our lives to take. The direction we want the evolution of human consciousness to take.

If we want to be happy, we need to make happiness happen. If we want to be successful, we need to make success happen. If we want a peaceful life, a peaceful world, and have peaceful relationships with those around us, we need to create the forms that manifest peace.

We share the same consciousness that created our universe. Perhaps, with enough practice, we could someday even create a universe together.
